Challenge
To provide unfettered telephony services over a single unified network for both GSM/3G and enterprise extension calls over 802.11 Wireless Fidelity networks.

Solution

Organizations are faced with an array of IP PBX flavours. Selecting the best solution often boils down to the most promising product or one that offers the highest return on investment. QubeTalk Enterprise Communications Server, based on the proven QubeTalk™ Telecommunications Application Platform (QTAP™), is an ideal choice with its unified telecoms infrastructure. Organizations can be ensured of top-flight service with an assured competitive edge.

The multitude of communications channels available to the workforce today adds to the challenge of managing and coordinating all these different channels. Faced with office extensions, direct telephone lines, email accounts and GSM/3G lines, reaching someone in our connected world is not as easy as it is made out to be.

More often than not, important calls are missed because the caller could not reach the recipient at a particular number or location. Naturally, the solution is to unify all these communication channels on a single device that receives intraoffice extension, GSM/3G, email and other internet messaging channels.

Users could utilize a single mobile handset in order to receive and make calls on a number of different channels. Incoming calls on any of these channels would be delivered to the user dynamically depending on the connectivity options and available networks. At the same time, users will be able to select the appropriate channel for their outgoing calls.

With QubeTalk™ ECS IP PBX, telephone services comprising intraoffice and mobile extensions, GSM/3G and free VoIP calls, are unified on a single device. QubeTalk's Mobile Extensions facility, intraoffice calls can be delivered to a user through his GSM/3G mobile handset irrespective of the user's location. This would allow the user access to the office's telephony facilities while out on the road or from the home.

Transferring a call, requesting a dynamic conference call or recording a call for later review would be just the same as from a normal office extension telephone.

Alternatively, office extension calls can also be delivered via VOIP to UMA phones that are WiFi ready. This allows employees to utilize the office IP PBX to place and receive calls locally and to remote locations where WiFi Internet service is available, such as hotspots, hotels and airports. These calls are not billed as it is delivered over the available Internet infrastructure.

By enabling Mobile Extensions and WiFi VoIP calls, employees who are traveling would be able to be in constant contact with the local office without being subject to GSM roaming charges and at the same time, able to make outgoing calls as if they were within their local calling area for the price of a local call.
